Harlowe Besset
Amateur Award-Winning Photographer
Harlowe is an amateur award-winning photographer whose passion for capturing the world has been evident since childhood. A world traveler, she began her journey in photography as a high school student, showcasing her work in the yearbook and local libraries, where her unique perspective on life shone through her lens.
However, life took a turn, and Harlowe put her camera down for a significant period. It wasn't until the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic that she rediscovered her love for photography. During this time, she enrolled in online courses at the International Center of Photography and other colleges, dedicating herself to honing her skills and expanding her artistic vision. Her commitment to learning paid off, earning her several online awards that celebrate her growth and talent.
A member of the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., where she previously served as a photographer, Harlowe embraces her role in the photography community wholeheartedly. Though she currently has no permanent home, she drifts from country to country, seeking new experiences and adventures to capture through her lens, each photograph telling the story of the diverse cultures and landscapes she encounters along the way.
